3rd edition EnerJmeeting Paris 2019

Anne Démians presented an exemplary feedback of experience on the issues of multipurpose and adaptive buildings, building on her work and the projects realized or in progress of the agency. RETURNS OF EXPERIENCES

Talking about energy efficiency and reducing your carbon footprint, when you’re trying to build, is always a delicate subject, especially if you support the efficiency of the constructions that are projected from real returns. Many people attest, without certification of convenience, that the objectives would actually be achieved, after we were sold to them as a real social project, the feedback is a palpable value on which we can base Logical suites of well-made constructions. It is a question of contributing, for us, architects, to the fact of better building, while specifying that if we do not build well, we could start with less build, not even build at all, in certain situations, hoping to put an end to this constructive hysteria leading to the diffusion of too much carbon into the atmosphere.

So, in order not to disrupt the economic or political balances put in place by the building industry, we will contribute to making people aware of the corrections to be made to them. My participation since 2010 in the RBR 2020 group is in a fight against real estate production that consumes too much energy, but not only. Carbon, now seen through the spectrum of the E + C label, must reduce its footprint, by changing the production methods of the works and by intervening in the movement of materials and materials around the world. Winner of the first prize BAS CARBONE (EDF) submitted in 2008, I had already been interested in uncontrolled overconsumption. The work of the RBR 2020 group has become a platform to convince builders and public authorities to participate in this radical transformation, which is necessary to move towards fewer greenhouse gas emissions and more renewable energies

It is then that the return of experiences, plays its role. Operational research is us, who carry it with our achievements. And while some argue that it is parametric studies that optimize the energy form of our books, I prefer this intuition, this field experience, the technique and a sensitive synthesis of different constraints to achieve it. All these values which open a real ground to the environment.

The Dunes, in Val de Fontenay, form a real estate complex, built for the Societe Generale, between 2013 and 2017, precisely on these values. It crosses efficient devices: efficient inertia attached to an unusual thickness of structures, lighting spaces made effective by the passive device of buildings based on orientations that will have caused the drawing of a mass plane in open and parallel lines rather than in closed court. Finally, use a synthetic wood on the facades. A product that has already had a first life and reaffirms its reuse
